NIGERIA'S U-19 Cricket team, yesterday began its campaign for the World Cup Regional Qualifier in Swaziland on a good note by defeating Gambia emphatically with 10 wickets in a 50 overs match.
Gambia batted first scoring 112 runs all out in 40 overs.
Nigeria replied with 116 runs to clinch victory in a match T. Lamim of Gambia scored 18 runs, while T. Ismail contributed 19 runs.
James Chukwu of Nigeria took three wickets for 28 runs in 10 overs, while Ogunbayo took three wickets for 25 runs in six overs.
Nigeria's Adeniran scored an impressive 54 runs, supported by Joshua's 41 runs.
