.Olajire fired for muddling national anthem
SWEEPING changes continued in the Glass House Secretariat of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) yesterday with the sacking of the Secretary-General, Bolaji Ojo-Oba and two others.
This is coming weeks after the three key members of the NFF Executive Committee, Sani Lulu, Amanze Uchegbulam and Taiwo Ogunjobi were shown the way out via impeachment the Aminu Maigari led board wielded the big stick by ordering Ojo-Oba to proceed on indefinitely compulsory leave with immediate effect.
Although no reason was given by the first Vice Chairman of the NFF, Obinna Ogba who announced the shake-up, inside source confirmed that Ojo-Oba was accused of inefficiency.
The NFF disclosed that Barrister Musa Ahmadu, Assistant Secretary general takes over from Ojo-Oba.
Also to go on compulsory leave are Mrs Saidat Ogunjobi, Head of Administration and Sunday Okhai, head of refereeing unit. No reason was given as regards the duo of Ogunjobi and Okhai.
Similarly, the chief Media Officer of the Federation, Ademola Olajire was suspended for muddling the National Anthem last weekend during the African Youth Championship qualifier between Nigeria and Guinea at the AbujaNational Stadium.
Today, the Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will meet today in Abuja to deliberate on issues among which is the forthcoming elections.
