FOLLOWING the elimination of the defending champion, US, by the Falconets, Alhaja Ayo Omidiran and Alhaji Shehu Adamu have expressed joy over the feat recorded by the Falconets at the on-going FIFA U-20 Women World Cup.
The Falconets, after bringing smiles to Nigerians when they defeated their American counterpart have been commended the team and charged them to go all the way to the final.
Alhaja Omidiran, a member of FIFA's organising committee of the ongoing FIFA-U20 women's championship in Germany said she was delighted after the Falconets broke the jinx of not making it past the quarter final stage.
I can't describe how happy I am for the jinx we have broken, the best we nave ever done at this level is quarter final finish so I am very happy. Before I predicted that the girls would make it beyond the quarter finals, now that they have done that, Iwant more and I think they can go all the way," she added.
