A MEMBER of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mr. Hodewu Avoseh (Badagry II), has urged President Goodluck Jonathan to concentrate on conducting a free and fair election next year, instead of contesting in the election.
The lawmaker said there are many challenges ahead of the President, and that contesting in the election would make him lose focus.
Speaking with the Nigerian Compass yesterday, the former Minority Leader of the House said that Jonathan had shown interest in correcting a lot of things in the country.
His words: “If (he) is really serious about doing the right thing, he should not think of contesting in the forthcoming election, because his aspiration of correcting the many damages that have been done to this country will have been defeated.”
