Gospel Musician, and City People Gospel Artiste for The Year 2009, Evangelist Tope Alabi, explained to Compass entertainment that she never defrauded any US based media mogul as alleged by
some internet postings. There was a story posted on the nigeriafilms.com by one Alhaji Tajudeen Bioku that Alabi was at large when she failed to show up at the Special Fraud Unity(SFU).
Alabi in the company of her husband Soji denied such a thing ever happening, contrary to the claims of Alhaji Bioku in his petition to SFU and his publication on the internet, ‘he is rather the one owing me in the sum of $10,600.00 and N850,000.00.’ Tope Alabi explains. “ The truth of the matter is that sometime in 2007, one Alhaji Tajudeen Bioku, under the name NPC Records Audio works approached us, Tope Alabi Gospel vibes for the release of one album which was done then and handed over to him without wasting time.
We did “Angeli Mi” for him under certain conditions. NPC was to pay the sum of $20,000.00 to Tope Alabi Gospel vibes but when we could not get the money by cash or money transfer, we then instructed Alhaji Bioku to covert part of the money into purchase and shipping of studio equipment to augment and fortify our existing studio. Alhaji Bioku acted accordingly by sending equipment worth $9,600.00 and we spent the sum of N142,000.00 to clear the goods on arrival. In other words, Alhaji Bioku is the one still owning us the sum of $10,400.00 which he has refused to pay despite several demands for reason best known to him” Alabi said it was Alhaji who betrayed the trust she had in him.
