PEOPLES Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State has congratulated Ogun State Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, over his victory at the Court of Appeal, sitting in Ibadan, the
Oyo State capital, in the appeal filed by the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) governorship candidate in the 2007 election in the state, Senator Ibikunle Amosu.
A statement signed by the Publicity Secretary of the party, Chief Adeyemi Adedipe, stated that Daniel’s victory, the third time, aptly demonstrates that it was well deserved.
According to the PDP, the judgement has further vindicated the party’s position that the onus should rest squarely on the petitioner in such cases and not the reverse “as witnessed in the miscarriage of justice in Ondo State”.
