Five Enugu State local government development areas administrators, who lost their one-month salaries following the order of the House of Assembly, failed to get a reversal despite appearing before the House yesterday for screening.

The House had, last week Tuesday, ordered that their February salaries be forfeited as punishment for their failure to appear before it for screening over their renomination for appointment by Governor Sullivan Chime.

Although they appeared before the House, neither the Speaker, Eugene Odo, nor any other legislator, indicated that the legislators have been pardoned.

They did not also make reference to the forfeited salaries.
The governor had, penultimate week, sent 56 names for appointment into the council development areas. Over 90 per cent of them served in the former dispensation.
The administrators are Uguru O. Uguru, Donatus Eze, Mrs. Uche Emma Ngwu, Chinedu Nwamba and James Ezike.

Also yesterday, the House directed that an elaborate public hearing be conducted by its Committeee on Health on an Executive Bill seeking to introduce a domesticated version of the National Health Insurance Scheme.
